Junior Purchaser
Fight Fires from the Ground Up.
Coulson Aviation is a global leader in aerial firefighting, operating across Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile. With a fleet of large fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, we deliver rapid response fire suppression—when and where it matters most.
Part of the Coulson Group of Companies, we’ve been innovating and growing for 65 years. Now, we’re looking for a Junior Purchaser to help keep our aircraft flying and our operations moving.
About the Role
As a Junior Purchaser, you’ll play a critical role in supporting heavy maintenance, line purchasing, and key projects as we prepare for upcoming maintenance cycles. You’ll manage purchase orders end to end, work closely with suppliers, and ensure materials arrive on time and to spec—even under pressure.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced, operational environment, enjoys problem solving, and wants to be part of a growing aviation organization.
What You’ll Do
• Release purchase orders on time based on work order demand and lead times
• Manage on time delivery through PO confirmations and ongoing vendor coordination
• Proactively escalate late deliveries and lead recovery plans
• Communicate changes, risks, and issues clearly across departments
• Ensure all purchasing requirements are accurately maintained in our ERP system (Corridor)
• Maintain clean ERP data (pricing, lead times, supplier details)
• Prioritize workload to ensure uninterrupted supply
• Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, including rotation based AOG phone coverage
• Ensure compliance with Coulson Group policies and standards
What You Bring
• High School Diploma (required)
• 1-3 years of purchasing experience in aviation, automotive, or manufacturing
• Any aviation industry experience (preferred)
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook & Excel)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to change
What We Offer
• Competitive compensation based on experience.
• Inclusive, respectful culture that values diversity.
• Comprehensive health & retirement benefits.
• Matching pension plan to support your future.
• A fast-paced, rewarding environment where your work truly matters.
